Introducing the FSJ 2017 Journey Holidays catalog

Hi everyone!  It's that time again, the new Journey Holidays mini catalog is here!  Oh boy, lots of really amazing stamps, dies and embellishments.  You can view it online HERE.  Check it out and let me know what are some of your favorite things.
A few of my favorites are:
Both Poinsettia flower embellishment packs
For You die set
Snow Blooms die set
I have a quick card to share today, I used some new goodies from the Holiday mini and played along in this week's SCS Sketch challenge. It's always fun to play along when I have time.
I used the Santa image from the Sleigh Ride stamp set (with matching die set), a piece of the Christmas Cheer prints paper, some of the new Candy Apple Journey Tape (ummm, did I mention there is a NEW washi tape pack?!) and a poinsettia from the Poinsettia Burst pack.  And last but not least, the gold mirror frame is also new from the main catalog and from the Foiled Frames pack. So much new good stuff on one card!  lol!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day. Here is a close up picture.

Fusion Vibes - watermelon, lemon, orange thanks

Hi everyone!  This month FSJ is having a special promotion on their True Color Fusion inks.  For those of you new to the inks, they are a hybred of Pigment and Dye.  They are amazing!  Stamp clean and crisp.  And with some colors, if you are fast, you can stamp and immediately add clear embossing powder and it will emboss!
I will warn you they will stain, so don't drop them on your lap (yeah, that happened).  I suggest purchasing our great True Color Fusion stamp cleaner which will keep your stamps nice and clean.
I made a fun and simple card using 3 colors: Watermelon Fusion, Lemon Drop and Orange Creamsicle.  I created the background with the Ink Splat ATS stamp.  The sentiment is from the new die set called Designer Frames (which I used on these cards).
Oh and see that cute white flower?  It's brand new and from the Spring Kisses pack.  Since they are mulberry, you can color them with sprays, silks and sponging.  LOVE!  I am having a hard time restraining myself NOT to use them on everything.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Introducing some new flower and branch dies

Hi everyone!  Yesterday I had a chance to play around with several of FSJ's new flower and branch dies and made a small note card set for my sister.  If you've followed me for any amount of time it's no secret I LOVE anything flowers!  So it's no surprise with the new catalog product launch, I gravitated to these first.
My set of three cards all use the same basic layout, satin ribbon layered with organdy, the Love Stripes embossing folder and sentiments from the Hostess Exclusive set called Family Forever.

My first card uses the amazing branch die called Detailed Foliage die cut from Silver Mirror cardstock (which is new and a FAV of mine).  I paired it with the large flower from the Bloom Benefits Victorian Accent pack and River Stone satin ribbon.
My second card uses the Bloom Creator die set with the Hostess Exclusive die Mystic Vine.  I alternated the blooms and branches with Cool Pool, Vellum and Silver Mirror cardstock.
My last card uses the Star Burst Bloom die set.  Just one word for you, LOVE.  I made this one using Lavender Fusion and Silver Mirror.  I kept the bloom without a branch behind is as I thought the layering pieces in this set stood alone.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

FSJ spotlight: Journey Gel Press

Hi everyone!  Well, did you have a chance to browse the new FSJ catty?  I'm curious if so, what you saw that you liked!  This week Richard is focusing on one of the new product/tools we now sell, the Journey Gel Press!  The Gel Press is a solid but flexible gelly plate that measures 8.5" x 11".

OK, most of you know I'm a clean and simple girl and fully admit this thing scared me to death!  But I took a deep breath, watch a couple videos (one good video from Richard HERE) and I dove right in.  Not gonna lie, my first attempt was a dud.  But the second try I got some good results and I'll share with you what I did:
1. Remove the protective plastic sheet from the Gel Press.
2. Squirt a dab of paint directly on the Gel Press.  I used Sweet Berry and Cool Pool.
3. Using your Brayer tool, spread the paint into a thin and blended coat.
4. Apply stencil directly on the paint.  I used the Circle Bliss stencil.
5. Place cardstock on the stencil and gently press from end to end. Remove cardstock and set aside to dry.
6. Remove the stencil and you are left with the paint that was UNDER the stencil. Place new cardstock on this remaining paint and gently press from end to end (pictured below)
Here is a pic of my 2 cardstock impressions
Here are the cards I made with each of these backgrounds I created.  Each card uses sentiments from the new (and fabulous) die set, Designer Frames along with a few embellishments.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

FSJ new collection: Mystic Romance

Hi everyone!  It's the most wonderful time of the year!  No, your calendar isn't off... it's not Christmas, it's Fun Stampers Journey's NEW CATALOG launch!  This years 2017-2018 catalog is better than ever.  So many great new things like Washi Tape, new Collections, more Embellishments, Dies, and stamps, stamps, and more stamps!!  Here is a link to view it online.  Grab a cup of coffee and browse it, you won't be disappointed!

This week FSJ is introducing the Mystic Romance collection.
I have one word for you: SWOON.
This collection has 12 stamp sets (a couple ATS size and several with coordinating dies), an embossing folder, patterned paper, and embellishments.  The sets have a stitched or embroidered look to them.  Again, swoon!  My card uses the stunning peacock image from the Stitched Elegance stamp set.
I stamped the head with Catalina Splash and the rest of the body with Kiwi Kiss.  I then used our Pure Color pencils and colored in some of the feathers in blue and yellow.  The right side panel was made with one of the accent flowers double inked in Lavender Fusion and Kiwi Kiss and the tiny accent stamped with Pineapple Smoothie.  I do want to mention this peacock is a very large stamp, I adjusted the size of my card to 6" x 4.5" to accommodate it.
For more inspiration from the Mystic Romance collection you can check out the blog posts:
