Silver and Gold CHA 2017 release from Richard Garay

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the Richard Garay CHA 2017 collections blog hop.  This year Richard will be releasing 4 amazing collections!
Today's hop will feature projects from the Make Amazing Design team, each of us using one of the collections.
The collection I'm working with is called Silver and Gold (bottom left on the photo).  This is my favorite of the 4 collections.  The collection has 4 stamp sets with coordinating dies, 12x12 patterned paper, embellishments, embossing folders and stand alone dies.  It's full of flowery silver and gold goodness!
I made two quick and easy cards to share.  First up I layered a piece of patterned paper and the flowers are embossed with silver and gold EP and from the set called Gold Blooms.  This set has 3 flower images, 4 leaf/branch images and ALL images has a matching die!  The sentiment was embossed in silver and is from the Silver Wishes stamp set.
Using a few left over flowers from playing around, I quickly put together this next one layer card!  These flowers are stamped on vellum and embossed with silver EP and I added a strip of the same patterned paper along the bottom.  The sentiment is from the Silver Lining stamp set.

Silent Night

Hi everyone!  Long time no blog.  I took a couple weeks off from crafting and I must say, I got a BIG ole jump on my Christmas shopping and if felt great!  I need a few more Christmas cards and wanted to use one of the sentiments from the set, Oh Holy Night (which, by the way, is my FAVORITE Christmas song of all time) and this is what I came up with.  This set was from the Holiday Mini catalog that was brought back by popular demand and will be available until the end of December.

I wanted to keep things pretty traditional by using only red and white.  The background die I used is called Artful Burst and I think it has such a beautiful design and can be very Christmas like.  I also used my much neglected Mini Create-a-Bow dies -why haven't I used this bow on every single project?  It's THAT cute, am I right?!?  I finished it off with a few shiny accents and a touch of glitter around the sentiment panel.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  Here's a close up pic with a glimpse of the background die template.

Gift card holder in a few easy steps

Hi everyone!  OK so my boys are at an age where all they want for Christmas (and birthdays) is an ITunes gift card.  Gone are the days when I could get them toys, a Lego set or a Pokemon card tin.  Now its all about the iPad games and money buys gems!  Sniff sniff.  AND all their friends are the same.  Everyone wants gift cards for their birthday's now.  So, it's a good thing FSJ has the super cute and easy Gift Card Sleeve die which at least makes it a more personal gift!
With a few steps, you can rock a super cute customized gift card holder.  There is even a coordinating set of dies for the Gift Card Sleeve to make it even easier called Gift Card Window Plates die set.  They are birthday, love and any occasion themed dies. SO cute!!
Here's how I made my gift card sleeve:
Step 1: Lay out Gift Card Sleeve die and the tree insert from the Holiday Box Window Plates die set
Step 2: Remove dies, trim Limeade Splash cardstock and adhere to the inside behind the tree opening
Step 3: Assemble gift card sleeve with 2 strips of white liner tape (side and bottom flaps)
Step 4: Decorate as much or as little you want.  Mine was pretty simple, I used a few stars from my Star Punch, one sequin from the Journey Holiday Elements, a small strip of patterned paper and some of the new Candy Apple twine (which launched with the Magical Journey collection!).
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  Here's a close up picture and you can see the detail where I added a dab of glitter to each little star.  So fun!!
